This Identity Design focused on the idea of emotion being a luxury in the future. Emotion being The identity features a secret typographic wink which is then used as the pictorial logo and represents happiness. emotion, 2019 as a film was produced with an accompanying ‘letter to the future’ and guide to play the DVD. emotion, 2019 as a film was scanned onto a DVD to be buried as a Time Capsule to be opened in the future. emotion, 2019 Is a film that showcases the idea of emotion being a luxury in the future. The film revolves around the idea of a pill that is issued to feel emotion in the future.
The process for this project looked at creating a time capsule for the future focused on the idea of emotion and technology being luxury goods not available to most and to therefore try and explain ideas of happiness whilst also making a political statement around perception and access to happiness itself.
